Jealous Anyone???

Here as promised, if a couple of days late, are the pics of the house as it is. I've realised that I've put them in back to front so the above pic is the bathroom, hopefull in two weeks time it will be transformed.
Below is the kitchen, the first pic is taken from garden end so this part will be where the kitchen units will be, the other pic is taken from the hall end and will be the dining area.

Below are two pics of what will be the family room or should I say, X-box, Wii, music, tv and computer room....hmm its not a huge space so wish me luck!!

The followng three pics are the sitting room at the front of the house, this is where all my little bits and bobs will be, away from prying mucky boys (HA HA thats what you think mum)
At the moment it contains the kitchen and has an immaculate clean floor and a beautiful fireplace....lol

The two pics below are of my favourite part of the house, the hall. Now I know the hall is not most peoples choice of the best room in the house but my current home has the most tineist hall ever and I crave space with all the shoes and coats a family of 6 have. I also love the original stained glass window.

You can just see in the below pic a light on top of the post, now you can't really see what it looks like but let me tell you its not the prettiest of lights and we wondered why it was there as it was connected to mains until we discovered there was no main light in the hall, that was it!! It has now been disconnected and a ceiling light put in.

And finally for today a glimpse at the outside of my forever home.
My next post will show pics of bedrooms and the garden.

Hi, How exciting a new home, Its looks lovely from the outside!! When we bought our house we had to do loads of work before we could move in, but I enjoyed deciding on colours, kitchens etc. Love the double doors out in to the garden, really pretty. And yep, we have a room where my smelly boys like to "play" with xbox etc. At least it is banished just to the one room and I have all my pretty things every where else! Kathy

oooooooooo my goodness Claire, thats certainly not a bit of half-arsed DIY you've got going on, its the full works isn't it?! I had no idea the work was so total, no wonder you aren't moving in until it's done lol.
It's majorly exciting though, I can see the huge potential there in the space adn dimensions of the rooms, and yes I agree the hall is gorgeous. I am really looking forward to seeing the progress, esp the kitchen and bathroom as we have still to do ours and I'm always on the lookout for inspiration.
Thanks for sharing
xx
ps aww meant to say, thanks for your lovely compliments on my "mug" :o)

Bloody hell woman you've done a good job of gutting the house. That stained glass window is absolutely gorgeous - no wonder you love it so much. I have a bit of a hall obsession too and can't wait to do ours because it just so dull at the moment.

Can't wait to see the bathroom and kitchen - jealous moi?

Those photos take me back to times past (x 3!)!! How exciting for you. I can understand how much you love the hall - especially with the front door on the side giving all that space at the bottom of the stairs! Love the window.

Shall watch progress with great interest ...

Hi Claire
It is a beautifull looking house, I know you will make it all lovely inside too. Thats the fun bit picking all the colours and bits and peices and making it homely. How exciting for you, it looks a lovely big size too

Wonderful! I too love nosing at how other folks live, and I can tell that house is going to be brilliant and I wish you many happy days in it. Not moving in was a very wise choice! Love the stained glass, but that hall light! I've never seen anything like that before! Interesting but very weird at the same time!

Hugs to you all.

These photos remind me of our house when we gutted and remodeled our kitchen three years ago (although we were living in the house). Love the stained glass.
