Today would of been my beautiful mums birthday. Its hard to describe the loss of your mum and although it will have been nine years this year that she died, it doesnt get easier, in fact in some ways its harder as I cannot share with her the wonderful times that I have with the boys!The above picture is my favourite of her and my dad.

What a beautiful picture, and every time you think of loved ones they are stood right beside you enjoying everything you see and do. I always think that when I get that involuntary shiver when I am listening to a beautiful song, or smell something that reminds me of friends and family that are no longer here its them touching my shoulder to let me know they are near....share everything with her... she is listening....

Thanks for visiting my blog and your lovely comments. I do talk about Dad all the time and there are lots of pics of him around, I was lucky that he got to meet my girls but it's difficult knowing that they've grown up so much in the last 9 months (he died 5 days before my youngest's 1st birthday) and he's not seen it.
